Hello, I'm Lilly, an illustrator and printmaker from rural North Wales.
My work is inspired by British rural heritage, nature & wildlife, folklore and artisan food and the quirks that connect these things together. I am a country girl at heart, nature and history obsessive and also very greedy, so all of these things fill me with joy and translate naturally into my artwork.
I primarily work with the mediums of printmaking and pen/ink drawings and collage.
My first book - "Our Isles - A celebration of Rural Trades and Traditions", published by Pavilion Books is available at many wonderful independent book shops across the UK and beyond. More book illustrations have followed on from Our Isles, alongside exhibiting in some wonderful exhibitions across the UK and creating brilliant commissions for businesses and individuals whose own work I admire so much. These include The New Yorker, Elliott’s Edinburgh, FOMAJE, Groundswell Festival and Norton & Yarrow Cheese.
All of my work is handmade in the UK and I love to work with recycled papers and environmentally friendly inks.
I live in North Wales with my husband Angus and our naughty terrier Pip. For updates and more of my work (I'm much more up-to-date over there) please check out my instagram page, linked below:
